The Elders have been demoted to Dukes

according to the november wt study article, there a study lesson about 7 shepherds, and 8 dukes.

the interesting thing is par 17. it instructs the elders to not question the instrutions they receive during an modern day asyrian attack.

maybe some kool aid is coming.

The 'Dukes' (elders) are basically "shop floor managers" who are being primed and conditioned like trained circus animals to be ready to accept and implement any and all instructions (especially new ones) handed to them from on 'high', whether that is from C.O., D,O., Branch Office, or HQ.

And I don't believe they will have to wait until "Assyria's" attack either - the Org is is getting prepared to come down hard, sooner rather later!

What kind of "instructions"?

Disfellowship anyone who looks at "apostate" websites and/or discusses such things with others in the congregation.

Be prepared to sell off your KH and merge with nearby congregations when attendances decrease/donations dry up significantly.

After next week's Annual Meeting, there may be some "between the lines" warnings for the R&F.

Photocopied July 15, 2013 Watchtower Study Editions

so, i visited the kh with friends so i could have, in my possession, the watchtower study edition of the year.. and the kind gentleman at the counter handed me... a darn photocopy!!!!!.

maybe this is the norm... did this happen in other kingdom halls?.

I "appropriated" 3 copies for myself. One for a Catholic friend, and one as a souvenir copy of what I feel will be a Collector's Edition in years to come. I reckon it will fetch a lot on Ebay in the not-too-distant future!! :)

Do you have any "one-liners" for drive-by witnessing?

i am looking for things i can say in passing, when i meet some of my jw friends.

we used to attend meetings, but have not been officially recognized yet, as apostates.

we were good and curious students, but fell away and were choked out by weeds.. since i will be renewing my bible student status soon, i am hoping this will open more windows into the organization.

it-1 p. 1251 James - "it was evidentlythis James (Jesus' half-brother) who was an overseer of the Christian congregation at Jerusalem"

They even state the evident truth that he was not one of the apostles!

It's evidently clutching at straws to assert something for which you do not have a shred of proof!

Falsehoods perpetuate other falsehoods!

You could ask:

1. Who told you that the 8 men in Brooklyn were 'God's direct channel of communication'? (Yup, they themselves via WT)

2. Why does Deuteronomy 29:10-15 state clearly that alien residents were participants of the Covenant, but the G.B. says the opposite?

3. Why did the G.B. sanction the teaching of 'New Scrolls' being opened during the millenium, when Rev. 20:1-12 says no such thing?

4. The G.B. says that a G.B. was used to resolve the circumcision issue; Galatians 2:1-10 indicates the spirit used Paul to do so. Which is correct?

what is the origin of "theocratic warfare" and jehovah's witnesses being able to freely life if they feel it's for the "greater good" of the watchtower?

i asked the elder if jesus christ ever lied, he said "yes, jesus refused to answer questions from people!

Jesus remained silent when no answer was deserving. (John 19:8-10) He also refused to answer when questioned by the Pharisees. (Matthew 21:23-27) There's a slight difference between refusing to answer and outright lying!! (sarcasm intended!) Try it in a court of law, if you don't believe it.

My daughter has been officially dfd, unfortunately...

unfortunately she still does not know ttatt... the good thing is that my wife (her mom) is not shunning her!.

i gave my daughter love & comfort and told her that nobody is ever going to divide us, i might not be happy with all of her choices and decisions but i just want her to be happy.

my family is still asleep and still thinks this is the truthtm and my wife wants her to come back.

Ask your wife who the Faithful & Discreet Slave is. Then ask her, "Who told you that they are"? She must reply, "They did".

That in itself doesn't mean that they are notwho they claim to be, so now ask her, "If they really are, would they teach us lies/get things seriously wrong? Again, she must reply, "Of course not."

Simply start with highlighting the ninereversals of teachings in the July 15th 2013 Study Watchtower, and say, "These have been deeply held "truths" for many decades by millions, but now they have been revealed as being false teachings and replaced with radically "new truths", so can we now believe the replacement teachings by the current GB"?

Time to open the Bible, and ask her what the Scriptures say about the Org's teachings on -

"Aliens were not part of the New Covenant" - Deuteronomy 29:10-15

"A Governing Body was used by God to resolve the circumcision issue" - Galatians 2:1-11 (Verse 2 shows that Paul was directed - not a GB)

"New Scrolls, containing wonderful new teachings, will be opened during the Millenium" - Revelation 20:12, then verses 1-7

"The 144,000 will rule over the earth as kings in heaven" - Revelation 5:10. Read from the Kingdom Interlinear original Greek rendition.

These are just an example of the glaring falsehoods used by Brooklyn to maintain their clergy status.

Directing your wife/daughter to "apostate" websites could be detrimental at this point - stick to putting the spotlight on what's presented as "truth" and what really is truth. They can't dispute what the Bible says!

who really is the faithful slave?

i have, for some time, related to my family the underlying reason why the governors at headquarters (pg22p10) say what they say & do what they do.

simply put, they need to make themselves big.

As the London Branch Official Paul Gillies described it at the District Convention, "A landmark Watchtower!".

Yes, when a bomb goes off, it creates a land - mark, and this Watchtower edition is going to come back and bite them severely!

The murmurings that have been caused in our congregation by the reversals of long held "doctrines of truth", must be getting repeated throughout the world's congregations.

When you add the inevitable global revelations of the WTBTS policy to shield "spirit appointed paedophiles" and the guaranteed future "requests" for more cash from everyone, then we may see many waken up & the love of the greater number cool off.

Apostles were first governing body????

If you read Paul's account at Galatians chapter 2:1-11, Paul makes several things clear - he was divinely directed to go up to Jerusalem to enlighten those "pillars" that circumcision was not required for Christians, because someone prominent in Jerusalem had sent spies down to Paul's congregation in Antioch to subvert this "corrupt teaching". Paul is not complimentary in his opinion of the "mature" ones in Jerusalem. Neither did a fictional GB direct Paul's ministry and territory. They merely finally concurred that Paul was directed by Holy Spirit regarding the circumcision issue, and persuaded the rest of the dissenters to become united in thiss 'new understanding'.

So, because Jesus did something twice, it's a pattern? He cleared the temple twice - was that a pattern for "elite" Christians to follow as well?
